Projects
My portfolio is a quiet chorus of stories, soft-spoken but resonant.
It begins with Tairā: Unheard Rhythm, a documentary that listens deeply not just to sound, but to silence. It traces the heartbeat of an artist becoming, capturing the moments between the music where identity takes root.
Then comes Real Talk from the Cast of LS Confessions, an unscripted communion of voices at Dark Side Studios. No filters, no retakes just truth shared in glances, pauses, and the kind of laughter that hides both joy and ache. It’s not about performance; it’s about presence.
From my earliest work at Full Sail, there’s Composition and Visual Design – Suspense, a student short shaped in shadow and stillness. A love letter to tension. To what isn’t said. To framing that makes you lean in and feel.
Soon, I’ll add full coverage of the Ms. Full Figure Beauty Pageant, where “Sakira Harris – MSFFUSAPA” beauty shows up bold, brown, and soft all at once. She’s bringing culture, elegance, and confidence, which is captured through a lens that sees dignity first.
And then there’s Cut Into Love, a cinematic dating show following a Black filmmaker (yours truly) as he searches for genuine connection. Think Lemonade meets Insecure meets The Bachelor, reimagined for an era of emotional maturity and conscious love.
These aren’t just projects. They are pieces of memory. Glimpses of becoming.
And through my lens, I hope you feel them, not just see them.
"Unheard Rhythm" is a captivating documentary directed, filmed, and edited by myself, Corey Middleton. The documentary explores a unique and often overlooked aspect of Tairā’s Music career, shedding light on the untold story and unexplored dimensions within his Journey. My meticulous direction is evident throughout the film, as I skillfully navigate the narrative to bring forth the unheard voices and hidden nuances surrounding his passion for music.

In this class project, we collaborated in groups to produce a short, dialogue-free sequence titled "Composition and Visual Design – Suspense." The exercise focused on building a strong understanding of visual storytelling through shot size, sequencing, composition, coverage, screen direction, timing, and continuity — all tailored to convey the mood and pacing of the suspense genre.
